About Us

Wrekin Tennis Club prides itself on being a friendly club that encourages members to play tennis in a relaxed atmosphere.

We offer a wide range of facilities at the club from Club Competitions, League Matches and Social Play, whilst also arranging a variety of Social Events throughout the year.

We are a member of the Shropshire Lawn Tennis Association and are based at Oakengates Leisure Centre, New Road, Wrockwardine Wood, Telford. They have four all – weather courts backed up with state-of-the art floodlights for all year round play.

Established in 1997 Wrekin Tennis Club was formed by a small group of enthusiastic tennis players that were based at the Bowring recreational centre off Haygate Road in Wellington, in 1999 we then moved on to Ercall Wood School where new ‘state of the art’ floodlights were erected. We moved to our present site at Oakengates Leisure Centre in 2013.

The tennis club has now over 40 members of all ages & standards.
